Sales Meeting and first Pow

hey,

just returned from rip curls winter sales meeting in san sebastian. Was a good oppurtunity do meet my rip curl team mates, we had a freaking blast and good parties. Beside that we had to present the stuff for the season 10/11 to the european distributors. These things gonna rock the shops for sure in 10/11, I tell you!

After 4 days in san seb I returned together with janne lipsalainen my finish buddy, raph (teammanager) and darius heristchian to geneva. Unfortunately I missed my last train there, so I stayed at darius place and left in the morning to hit the first pow yeah :-) winter seems to be arrived in switzerland!!!

Actually the day we shot this photo was pretty lame, cause a few skiers destroyed our prebuild jump on the Belalp. After that we just didn`t give a fuck and decided to go for a few pow turns. Out a Walliz straight to the US boys! pretty stoked about that.

Hintertux / Breithorn

Just came back from a K2 weekend in Hintertux Austria. We were up on a hut near the glacier together with Mone Monsberger, Danny Larsen and a few other Riders and Distributors. I had awesome days there with hard partying and good shredding.yeah!


the week before I hiked up my first 4000 meter high peak in Zermatt, the Breithorn. Awesome view up there and a cool feeling to have made it. Went up there with my friend and mountain guide Simon and our romantsch-homeboy Luregn from graubünden.



Now I go back to university to learn more about the planet we are living on till the first pow arrives.

Back from down under

hey boys and girls,

just flew in from newzealand a few days ago. Travelled down south together with mario käppeli,quentin robbins and mitch berger from playboard magazine and eventhough the weather and snowconditions were kind of crappy we had a freaking blast. We went shooting in almost every resort on the central south island such as Mount Hutt, Craigieburn, Broken River and Tempel Basin and travelled both newzealandic islands with our campervan Jucy Lucy:-) Beside snowboarding we did a whole bunch of stuff like kayaking, speedboating and biking.
But even only the epic landscape there would be the 36 hour journey around the globe worth it. It`s just unbelievable and I remeber us standing several times devoutly and totally silent in front of massive mountains, wide fields and glass clear lakes like little schoolkids in front of a christmas tree. It`s good to know that places like that still exist on our planet..

Bye bye summer

It`s done: the doc took the stiches out yesterday. So I went shredding on the glacier in saas fee today to check out how my thumb feels. I`m pretty stoked how it feels right now and ready to shralp again. In the afternoon I went swimming in a local lake near my hometown together with Roger "uuhh I`m a pussy and don`t wanna jump from the tree" Eggel, Danger Dave and Nicolle. We had some barbecue going on and chilled in the sun...good times. That was pretty much my last summer activity before I`m heading off to the winter in Newzealand. I`m leaving tomorrow to munich and will fly on monday around the globe. During the trip through newzealand I`ll blog on www.snowboardermbm.de in the travel column aswell especially for all german speaking heads out there and the same thing you can find on deeluxe.com in english.

Toe OP :-(

hey,

Went to the doc a few days ago and had to operate my toe. It was quite an ugly thing to watch but it`s feeling way better now. Doc Lehner is an old hare in the business an as far as I can say he did a really good job:-) In two weeks I have to put out the stitches and after that I`ll be pretty much ready to shred again.

Before that I have to spend some more boring time at home. As I`m not allowed to walk without crutches at all I`m recently chilling a lot in our garden and reading books. Can`t watch any more films on kino.to because I seem to know them all already..:-)

Hopefully I get some days on snow in saas fee before I`m heading off to "Downunder" end of July. I`ll fly there together with playboard photographer Michi Berger and some völkl guys for a new zealand shoot. Looking forward to that...

Summer shredding part 1

hey folks,

I`m back from Les Deux Alpes, where I shred the park the last two days. It was super warm up there and it got slushy already at 9 o`clock in the morning! The park looks quiet ok at the moment but they really have to work on their kickerline.

Unfortunately my toe is still fucked and it hurts when I ride... Bummer. So I decided to take a week off the snow and chill. Hope the toe gets better that way. If not I have to go again to the doc.

Now I have to spend a really boring week cause I can`t do any sports and I`m not allowed to go swimming. But it`s ok. I`ll read a lot, spend a few hours on my mac and hang out at the lake.

hope to be soon back on slopes.
